Louise Marshall Hospital benefits from Holiday Smile Cookie sales

MOUNT FOREST – People who bought holiday smile cookies at the Mount Forest Tim Hortons this past November helped to raise more than $3,500 for the Louise Marshall Hospital Foundation.

The Holiday Smile Cookie Campaign, which ran from Nov. 18 to 24, saw Tim Hortons restaurants across Canada donating 100 per cent of proceeds from smile cookie sales to charity – 50% supporting Tim Hortons Foundation Camps, and the other 50% to a charity of each restaurant’s choosing. For the second year running, the Mount Forest location selected the local hospital foundation.

“We’re so thankful to have been selected as a co-recipient of their campaign,” hospital foundation executive director Amy Van Huss stated in a Jan. 9 news release.

“The Holiday Smile Cookie Campaign is all about spreading kindness and supporting a cause that serves everyone in our community is a wonderful way to spread that joy.”

At the close of the campaign, the Mount Forest location had raised $7,113, including $3,556 for the Louise Marshall Hospital Foundation.

The foundation is a registered charity that raises money for essential equipment and capital projects at the Mount Forest hospital.
