ELORA – Third time’s a charm! The Boo Radley Project’s annual curling tournament is back. ɫشýCounty’s art-rock indie-funk septet, The Boo Radley Project, will be taking over the sheets at the Elora Curling Club for their third annual Boospiel curling tournament on March 15.
“We scoured the web and couldn’t find the existence of any other band that hosts their own curling tournament,” said band member Leon Obrascovs. “I don’t know if that’s a good thing or a bad thing, because our band happens to really suck at curling. But we just have so much fun doing it.”
According to officials the event is almost sold out and has a few more spots for teams to sign up.

Each team will get two, 2-hour games, snacks from Elora-based restaurant, The Friendly Society, a pizza lunch, prizes, live concert from the band and a dance party at the end.
The band stresses there’s no previous curling experience necessary. The day will kick off with an instruction session from pro mother-daughter curling duo Dorothy and Nicole Brockbank, who will stay on the ice to give tips during the beginner’s first game.
Curling brooms and sliders will be available for those who don’t own them.
