ERIN – The East É«¿Ø´«Ã½Family Health Team has released its schedule of free workshops for February.Ìý
Here’s what’s coming up:
– Walk-fit – Fridays from 9:30 to 10:45am at the Erin Indoor Recreation Centre.
A volunteer-led indoor walking group. Group members need only register once per season and may attend as few or as many sessions as they like.
– The Mediterranean Diet for Good Health – Feb. 11 from 5 to 6pm online and in-person at 175 Alma St. in Rockwood or at 6 Thompson Cres. in Erin.
Learn more about eating a diet focused on whole and plant-based foods.
– Heart Health – Feb. 20 from 12 to 1pm online or in-person at the Rockwood or Erin clinics.
For anyone interested in learning more about heart healthy eating and lifestyle strategies to help prevent or manage conditions like high cholesterol and high blood pressure.
– Healthy YOU (four-part series) – Feb. 20 from 6 to 7:30pm online and in-person at the Erin clinic.
A four-part workshop series facilitated by a registered dietitian.Ìý
– Rural Care Partner Support Group – Feb. 26 from 1:30 to 3pm at the Erin clinic.
This group is for family (and friends) of people living with Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias.
– Highs and Lows of Diabetes – Feb. 27 from 12 to 1pm online and in-person at Rockwood and Erin clinics.
This workshop looks at type 2 diabetes and management skills for healthy living.
People are asked to register in advance by visiting and following the links to the workshop calendar.
