Driver seriously injured in crash south of Mount Forest

WELLINGTON NORTH – A Highway 6 intersection just south of Mount Forest remains closed following a serious two-vehicle crash Wednesday morning that resulted in life-threatening injuries for one driver.

ɫشýCounty OPP officials say emergency crews responded at about 8:15 am on July 2 to a collision involving a tractor-trailer and a pickup truck at the intersection of Highway 6 and Sideroad 2 in ɫشýNorth.

“As a result of the collision, the driver of the pick-up truck sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to a trauma centre,” police stated in a press release sent just before 4pm that day.

The next day police added “the driver remains in critical, yet non-life-threatening condition.”
