I was only trying to help; I just happened to marry a man who does not want my help at the times when I genuinely feel I would be most helpful to him. That鈥檚 what makes our life together so much fun. Ask him, he鈥檒l tell you.聽

This Christmas, the gift that I鈥檓 most grateful for was not one wrapped and placed under the tree. Things didn鈥檛 make this holiday special for me; friends did. Kindness and inclusion are the acts that I will remember.

There is a quote attributed to Mahatma Gandhi: 鈥淚f you don鈥檛 ask, you don鈥檛 get it.鈥 I鈥檓 not sure that was Gandhi鈥檚 exact wording, and I鈥檓 not sure he would appreciate my use of the phrase, but I thought I鈥檇 test this theory out with my spouse this Christmas.聽

Head over …
